IN LOVING MEMORY OF JUDITH ANN DOYLE (MY MOTHER)---12/12/44 - 6/30/03 RIP
LAST UPDATED: 15 December 2007
I was born 31 October, 1973 in San Diego, California, USA. I am about six feet tall, 200-210 pounds, rather imposing physically, but a total artsy-fart nutcase softie with a tendency to do Forrest Gump one better.
I am first and foremost a writer, but I've also been drawing since mid-2003, as a coping mechanism dealing with my mother's prolonged, entirely too young death from multiple sclerosis (MS). I'm also a father, a husband, and an Assistant Floor Supervisor at a famous casino. (Sometimes I deal table games, but mostly I supervise several tables within a gaming pit.)
I have written and copyright-registered one novel, Telkar Chronicles: Book One (working title) which is the first novel of a forthcoming five novel sequence. Some illustrations and illustration ideas may be found on my Elfwood F/SF page. There is some novel-related stuff in my Wyvern's Gallery, yet it is quite limited in scope, as the novel itself cannot be published on Elfwood due to its sheer length (346,000 words) adult themes, sexual situations, violence and one or two truly disturbing scenes. Also, publishers tend not to like publishing works that were previously eBooks, even if they were registered with the United States Library of Congress (as I have done so with my first novel.

| Date | Name | Comment | | | 31 Jan 2005 | Debbie Palmer | Loading...Hi Paul. I thought I'd drop by to return the visit you made to my gallery. I feel badly that it took me so long to get here, but real life has kept me busy. From reading some of the comment replies here and in your Wyvern library, I know you can understand how that goes. Your dragons are really interesting. They're a lot more realistic than mine (even my newest ones, that are currently in the queue). I also want to thank you for the support you gave me when some mean-spirited children found their way to my comments block. I appreciate it. | |
| 9 Apr 2005 | Paul J. Doyle | Loading...This is how my Elfwood bio should look. Elftown has become a much better place now, though there will always be some problems (just like anywhere else). Let's just say the drama's 99% gone, and I have no desire to be a drama queen. ;-) Anyway: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- March 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IN LOVING MEMORY OF JUDITH ANN DOYLE (MY MOTHER)---12/12/44 - 6/30/03 RIP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul J. Doyle, 31 October 1973---
I'm married and have a son. I have been working on my novel, artwork, and have been dealing with a lot of real-life stuff lately. Currently (In addition to everything else) I am researching ways to get buy a first time house, despite numerous financial setbacks for my family in the past year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elftown is starting to get more art scene-friendly again. Useless mindless cyber-turds are starting to emigrate from Elftown to Elfpack, which makes many of Elftowners more comfortable to be on there now However, I will never again be quite as active on Elftown as I used to be. Some really unsavory things happened there which I cannot completely forgive. Besides, I have a real life. Elftown has many good things, but word to the wise: as an Elfwood artist or an Elfwood writer (or both) you have no more say on Elftown---the very community originally designed for YOU, the Elfwooder---than some brainless disruptive turd or fourteen year old cybersluts who belong in an AOL chat room.

Anyway, enough of that. I will add a lot of new pictures in the next few months. Please understand I can't put my novel here, because I'm concerned about copyright issues. There's also just too much violence, profanity and sex to get anywhere past Elfwood moderators.

Anyway, that's where I've been lately o_o

ART EXPERIENCE: I have only been drawing actively since June of 2003, around the time my mother passed away (a much better coping mechanism than alcohol, tobacco, television or drugs, in my opinion.) I am slowly getting better. I have a huge amount to learn. I have no pretentions of my art abilities. They aren't bad, but they aren't great, either. Keep that in mind if you are thinking about a request or a commission.

WRITING EXPERIENCE: I have been writing since I was a small child. Always have, always will. Now I am trying to get published the old fashioned way.

COMING SOON: Elfwood Elftowner links, other links, etc. Busy, busy, busy! | |
